Originally founded in 1978, the Governor's Club was formed to provide resources to the county Republican Party and Governor Dick Thornburgh's campaign. The Governor's Club helped deliver a victory at its inception and continues to be a driver of Republican victories at all levels of government.
Cumberland County remains the fastest growing county in Pennsylvania. In order for the Republican Party to grow and thrive, it is vital that we build community partnerships and fight to ensure the values and policies of the conservative movement have a voice at every level of government. We must work together to preserve our Republican principles while welcoming new generations and ideas into the fold.
As President Reagan once said: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation."
